Step 01

Start Automation

Launch the Shortcuts app on your iPhone. Navigate to the Automation tab located at the bottom center of the screen. Tap the New Automation button (or the + icon in the top right corner) to begin.

Select Trigger

Scroll through the list of available automation triggers and select Time of Day. This allows your wallpaper to update automatically at a specific time each day.

Configure Time

Set the specific time you want your wallpaper to refresh (e.g., 00:00 or 07:00).

Crucial!Select 'Run Immediately' below the time picker. This is required for the automation to run automatically in the background without asking for your permission every day.

New Shortcut

Tap Next in the top right corner. On the next screen, choose New Blank Automation to start building your custom workflow from scratch.

Add Calendarly

Tap the Add Action button. In the search bar, type 'Calendarly'. From the search results, tap on the Generate Calendar Wallpaper action to add it to your automation.

Set Wallpaper

Tap the search bar at the bottom again. Search for 'Set Wallpaper' and select the system action named Set Wallpaper Photo. This will add a second step to your automation, right below the Calendarly action.

Configure & Run

Tap the small arrow in the 'Set Wallpaper' action to expand its options. Choose whether you want to update your Lock Screen, Home Screen, or both.

Important!Turn OFF 'Show Preview' to ensure it runs silently. Finally, tap the Play button (▶) in the bottom right to test it immediately.

All Set!

Your wallpaper will now update automatically every day at your chosen time. You can now close the Shortcuts app and enjoy your new productive lock screen.
