Privacy Policy

• Your events, reminders and tasks are read and rendered on your device. They are never uploaded to us and never stored on our servers.
• There are no user accounts. We never ask for your name, email address or phone number, and nothing the app records is linked to your identity.
• We measure anonymous product usage — which screens open, which layouts get applied, whether a purchase completed — to decide what to build next.
• There is no advertising, no ad network, no advertising identifier, no cross-app or cross-site tracking and no data brokers. Calendarly does not show the iOS tracking permission prompt because it has nothing to track you with.
• We do not sell, rent or trade your data, and we do not share it with any third party for that party's own purposes. The only companies involved are the handful of service providers listed in section 9, each of which processes data solely on our instructions and solely to make the app work.

All of the following is read, drawn and stored inside Calendarly's own container on your device. None of it is transmitted to us or to anyone else:

• event titles, times, locations, notes and calendar names
• reminder titles, lists, due dates and completion state
• Todoist task content, projects, labels and due dates
• text you type into a note layout, and the birth date used by the Life Calendar
• photos you pick as backgrounds
• your saved layouts, colours and settings
• the wallpaper images the app generates

Deleting the app removes all of it. There is no copy anywhere else, because no copy was ever made.

With your permission, Calendarly reads events from the iOS Calendar and items from Apple Reminders. It uses them for one purpose: to draw the image that becomes your wallpaper.

• Reading and rendering happen entirely on your iPhone.
• Event titles, times, locations and notes are never transmitted anywhere.
• Calendarly never creates, edits or deletes anything in your calendar.
• The generated wallpaper is written to Calendarly's own container on your device so the Shortcuts automation can set it, and old files are cleaned up automatically.

You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security. Calendarly will then render empty layouts rather than fail.

If you choose to connect Todoist, Calendarly requests your tasks directly from Todoist's API over an encrypted connection and draws them on the wallpaper. The connection is entirely optional, you can disconnect it at any time, and the app works fully without it.

• Read-only. Calendarly asks Todoist for the data:read scope and nothing else. It is not technically able to add, complete, edit or delete anything in your Todoist account.
• Your token stays on your device. The access token is stored in the iOS Keychain, protected by the device passcode. We never see it, and it is never sent to our servers or to anyone else.
• Your tasks never reach us. Task titles, projects, labels and due dates travel only between your iPhone and Todoist. They are never uploaded to us, never included in analytics, and never disclosed to any third party.
• The sign-in redirect. During sign-in, Todoist redirects through a small serverless function we operate, solely to complete the OAuth code exchange, because Todoist requires the client secret to stay off the device. The function passes the token straight back to your iPhone in a redirect marked as non-cacheable. It has no database, stores nothing, and never touches your tasks.
• Offline cache. Tasks are cached on your device so the wallpaper can still be drawn when you are offline. Disconnecting Todoist deletes the token and the cache immediately.

We will never sell, share or otherwise disclose Todoist data to any third party. Todoist processes data under its own privacy policy: todoist.com/privacy. Calendarly is an independent product and is not created by, affiliated with or supported by Doist.

You can use your own photo as a wallpaper background. Calendarly uses the system photo picker, which hands the app only the images you pick — it never asks for, and never receives, access to your photo library.

A copy of a chosen photo is stored inside Calendarly's own container so the wallpaper can be redrawn later. It stays on your device and is deleted when you remove the photo or delete the app.

Calendarly Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple handles the payment; we never see your card details, billing address or Apple ID.

Subscription state is managed by RevenueCat, which receives the Apple transaction receipt, the product identifier and an anonymous app user identifier generated on your device. That identifier is a random string. It is not linked to your name, email or Apple ID, and we have no way of turning it back into a person.

To understand which parts of the app people actually use, Calendarly sends anonymous usage events to Mixpanel, received on their European servers.

What an event looks like:

• which onboarding step was seen, which screen was opened, which layout family was applied, whether the Shortcuts setup was completed, whether a wallpaper was generated, whether a purchase or trial started
• the app version and build, whether the installation has Pro, and standard device information such as the iPhone model, iOS version and screen size
• the same anonymous identifier used for purchases, so a person is not counted twice
• the approximate country and city that Mixpanel derives from the network connection, the way any web server sees an IP address. We use it only to see which countries the app is used in. It is not precise location, it is not tied to your identity, and we never combine it with anything else.

What is never included:

• the contents of your calendar, reminders, tasks or notes
• your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location or photos
• the advertising identifier (IDFA); Calendarly does not use one
• anything that would let us or Mixpanel identify you as a person

Nothing here is used for advertising, sold, or shared to follow you across other apps and websites. Mixpanel acts as a processor on our behalf and is contractually prohibited from using the data for its own purposes: mixpanel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

getcalendarly.com sets no cookies. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to. We run no advertising pixels, no session recording and no third-party trackers.

The site uses Vercel Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without building a profile of a visitor, and Vercel's servers keep standard request logs for a short period for security and reliability, as any web host does.

These are every company that touches any data at all, what they receive, and why. Each acts as a processor on our instructions. There are no others.

• Apple — sells the app and processes all payments and refunds. We receive no payment details from Apple.
• RevenueCat — validates purchases and keeps subscription state against an anonymous identifier.
• Mixpanel — receives the anonymous product events in section 7, on European servers.
• Todoist (Doist) — only if you connect it, and only to send your own tasks to your own device.
• Supabase — hosts the single serverless function that completes the Todoist sign-in. It stores nothing.
• Vercel — hosts this website.

We do not share data with anyone else. We would disclose data only if legally compelled to, and there is essentially nothing to disclose: we hold no calendar content, no account, and no name.

Analytics events are received on Mixpanel's European infrastructure. Mixpanel and RevenueCat are US companies, so some processing may take place in the United States under the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission, which are part of our agreements with them.

Everything Calendarly keeps about you lives on your iPhone, so deleting the app removes it, immediately and completely.

Anonymous analytics events are retained by Mixpanel for as long as they remain useful for product decisions, and are deleted in bulk when they no longer are. Purchase records are kept by RevenueCat and Apple for as long as needed to honour subscriptions, restores and tax obligations.

If you want the anonymous analytics records for your installation deleted, write to us and we will remove them. Because there is no account, we may not be able to locate the right records from an email address alone — deleting the app is the reliable way to stop any further data being sent.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of personal data, to receive it in a portable form, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. Because Calendarly holds no account and no identifying data, most of these rights are already satisfied by the app itself — but if you want to exercise them formally, write to support@getcalendarly.com and we will answer within 30 days.

Our lawful basis for reading your calendar, reminders and tasks is your consent, given through the iOS permission prompts and the Todoist sign-in, and withdrawable at any time in iOS Settings or by disconnecting Todoist. Our lawful basis for the limited analytics in section 7 is our legitimate interest in understanding how the app is used and making it work better; you may object to that processing by writing to us.

For residents of California and other US states with similar laws: we do not sell personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not use it for profiling. We have never done either, and we have no plans to.

Every connection the app makes uses HTTPS. Your Todoist token is held in the iOS Keychain, protected by the device passcode and available only to Calendarly. Your content is protected by the iOS app sandbox and by whatever device encryption your iPhone has enabled.

No system is perfect, but the design keeps the blast radius small: we hold no database of user content, so there is no store of calendars, tasks or photos to breach in the first place.

Calendarly is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, of any age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, write to us and we will delete it.

If the way the app handles data changes, this page changes with it and the revision date at the top is updated. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
