What is Calendarly?

Does the wallpaper update by itself?

Yes. Calendarly sets that up with you the first time, then redraws the wallpaper on its own at the time you chose, usually first thing in the morning. Nothing runs in the background in between. The app wakes up, draws one image, and stops.

Which calendars and lists are supported?

Every calendar synced to your iPhone — iCloud, Google, Outlook, Exchange and any other account in the iOS Calendar app. Apple Reminders lists are supported as well, and Todoist if you connect it. You choose exactly which calendars and lists appear.

Can Calendarly show my Todoist tasks?

Yes. Connect your account in Settings under Integrations, then pick today, the days ahead, or a single project. Calendarly only reads your tasks. It never adds, completes or changes anything in Todoist.

What do I get for free?

Twelve layouts, one from every family: four calendars, today's sticker, reminders, notes, a tasks layout and four countdowns including the life calendar. Automatic updates are included. On free layouts that show a list, you see the next three items. Calendarly Pro removes that limit and unlocks all 58 layouts, every style, and your own photos as backgrounds.

Pro is available monthly, yearly, or as a one-time purchase. Prices vary by country and are always shown in the App Store before you buy. A subscription can be cancelled at any time in your Apple account settings.

Does Calendarly work offline?

Calendar wallpapers work offline once setup is finished — everything is drawn on the device. An internet connection is only needed to sync Todoist tasks and to make a purchase.

Is my calendar data private?

Yes. Your events, reminders and tasks are read and rendered on your iPhone. They are never uploaded to our servers and never stored in the cloud. Calendarly has no user accounts, so there is nothing to sign up for and nothing tied to your name.

Do you use analytics?

We collect anonymous product usage — which screens are opened and which layouts are applied — to decide what to build next. It is not linked to your identity and is never used to track you across other apps or websites. There are no ads and no advertising networks in Calendarly. The contents of your calendar are never part of any measurement.

Does it drain the battery?

No. Calendarly runs only when your automation triggers, draws a single image and quits. There is no background activity in between.

Can I change the layout later?

Any time. Pick a different layout or edit the one you have, then run your automation once to apply it immediately instead of waiting for the morning.

My Lock Screen has not updated yet. What do I do?

Open the Shortcuts app, go to Automation, and run your Calendarly automation once by hand. Updates continue automatically afterwards. If the automation asks before running, open it and turn off “Ask Before Running”.

Can it update more than once a day?

Yes. Create a second automation at another time — for example one at seven in the morning and one at midday.

Which languages does Calendarly speak?

Twenty-two: English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Czech, Danish, Hungarian, Dutch, Norwegian, Polish, Romanian, Finnish, Swedish, Turkish, Ukrainian, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. You can switch language inside the app without restarting it, and the wallpaper is drawn in that language too.

Which iPhones are supported?

Any iPhone running iOS 16.6 or later. Calendarly is an iPhone app; there is no iPad version.

Do I need an account?

No. Calendarly works the moment you install it. The only optional sign-in is Todoist, and that connects you directly to Todoist.
